The Bhutan Standard Industrial Classification (BSIC) was developed based on the International Standard Industrial Classification Revision 4 (ISIC). The BSIC Ver-1, presents sets of all economic activity categories in such a way that entities can be classified according to the kind of economic activities. The NSB, in its effort to coordinate and harmonize statistical activities in the country and to maintain statistical standards in terms of kinds of economic activity, took up the task of developing Bhutan Standard Industrial Classification(BSIC) Ver-1 in the year 2020.
