The prices of food and beverages increased by 3.73 percent and the prices of mineral products, cement, and electricity increased by 11.65 percent.

Gross Ecosystem Product (GEP) Workshop

The National Statistics Bureau (NSB), through the Economic and Environmental Statistics Division (EESD) with technical support from experts from the Natural Capital Project (NatCap), Stanford University, is currently conducting the Gross Ecosystem Product (GEP) Workshop from 25th –28th August 2026 in Paro.

The workshop aims to discuss Bhutan’s GEP estimates, ecosystem service valuation, carbon sequestration, water yield, sediment retention, agriculture, forestry, tourism, and future priorities for GEP accounting.
